A New Tele

Posted by Shekey | No Comments

I bought a new Telecaster today.

If you can’t tell from the photo, it’s wine colored. I’ve got a CBS-era Strat neck that I’ll be tossing on this to give it the look perfect look/feel that I want. I grew up playing Strat copies and have always loved an authentic ’70s headstock. This has got a cutoff switch in it that allows me to do some fancy playing. I’ve got to install a new pickup in the bridge as well as flip around the control plate so the volume pot is more accessible. Good times!

It should come as no surprise that I’m selling my Stratocaster. Check it out. Celebrity Owned! Fender Stratocaster MIM.

Oh, It’s On Now™

We just got these bad boys in the mail. We’ve got a bout 200 of them. We’ll be throwing them to whoever wants them as well as selling them for a buck. We’ll get some buttons soon, I promise.

Recording Demos

Posted by Shekey | No Comments

We’ve been in Ryan’s basement recording demos for what will be our next full-length album. We’ve got 8 new ones of drums and 2 songs fully recorded with guitars. Vocals are up next. I’ve got to gettin’ writin’ lyrics.

We’ll post them all right here at the end of the week! You’re excited? Feel these nipples!

Springtime!

Posted by Shekey | No Comments

I love playing shitty dives. What I don’t understand though is why some folks like to stonewall bands. I would much rather be heckled every night for the rest of my life than get stonewalled. Don’t mistake my observations for complainin’ though. It’s my job and it suits me well.

We’re headed on a quick jaunt through the midwest. We’ll be in Madison on Friday the 21st. Before that though we’ll be demoing all the new material for a new full length that will be recorded at the end of summer. I can’t wait for you all to hear Charlie on record.

Almost Famous

We’re going to be rock stars soon. I almost guarantee it. Don’t ask me how one can almost guarantee anything, but I’m pretty sure it’s possible. We had a successful day in Minneapolis on Thursday… a photo shoot in the afternoon at an amazing (almost entirely vinyl) record store called Eclipse records. Clark Patrick was the man behind the camera. He’s the balls.

We also rocked the fuck out of the Dinkytowner. That is all.

Photos are coming soon soon soon.
