Biography
So here we are a few years into this thing known as Apparently Nothing. We're all a little older, a little more well read and we've all come to the understanding that Prince truly can wail, but still every minute spent as a band is somehow better than the last. It's been a flurry of names and faces remembered and forgotten, members have come and gone (hopefully no more leave), and advice given and received. We're a singular musical entity these days, I can't imagine Apparently Nothing with any other line up. We've played dive bars, teen centers, basement parties, colleges and every where in between and all of them have shaped us. A thought occurred to me on stage the other night. The multi-colored lights tracked us around the stage as we fumbled our way around stage. The roaring crowd took up where the band left off after every song. A part of my mind detached itself from the animalistic scene of desire and satisfaction at hand, and attempted to digest what exactly was happening. I found myself absolutely astounded. How lucky was I? How many people get to feel such energy and support projected at them? I was on stage doing exactly what I loved to do, and our fans supported us every step of the way. I guess this goes out to our fans, and anyone who has ever seen us play and had the decency to clap, or offer a kind word after a set, thank you so very much for all you've done to get us to the point at which we are today as a band. You are all truly an inspiration to what we do. Once again, it's like Thom Yorke said 'The freakiest thing about all of this is the idea that you'll be one of those bands to somebody. That in itself is the reason to keep going. The rest is bullshit.'
