About the Band

Apparently Nothing is an original rock band formed in 2001, in Madison, WI. Having played countless shows, regional tours, and amassing a strong fanbase, 'AN' makes their shows and music as memorable as possible. They've shared the stage with major label artists such as "Living Things", "The Vacation", and "The Pink Spiders", and have also played with top regional/national acts such as "Freshwater Collins", "Backyard Tire Fire", "Houston Calls", "Just Surrender", "Tokyo Rose" as well as local notables "Sunspot" and "Awesome Car Funmaker", to name a few. Having released their latest album "Sprawl" in December of 2005, Apparently Nothing have taken their music on the road touring both coasts and in between. Fans and critics enjoy it alike:

"Most impressive of all are the arranging skills of the band. Each track boasts a killer hook, either vocally or instrumentally and frequently both... Apparently Nothing's formula is far from rocket science: Good singing, good playing and great songwriting. Their crowing achievement is that they sound damn good while doing it. They've already produced more original music than many musicians do in a lifetime and one can only surmise at how far their considerable talent could take them."
- Rick Tvedt of Rick's Cafe

"At first it was hard for me to figure out what it was I found appealing about Apparently Nothing's new album Sprawl as I listened to it in my car. The lyrics are serious, the hooks are catchy, and the production is clean, but something beyond that was motivating me from one song to the next."
- Jenny Odegard of The Wake

"This is a band that has challenged me to step outside the bounds of conventional thought with regard to songwriting and Rock Music, and it has truly been a pleasure to work my way through their catalog! When you hear Sprawl, I hope that you'll like it as much as I have!...Apparently Nothing continues to invent and re-invent their sound, doing things that make their albums worth hearing! I'm a fan, and I think I always will be!"
- Mark Lush of Midwest Bands.com

"Memorable songs and solid musicianship without indie haircuts or too-tight pants. Please God, send more."
- Mike Huberty of Maxiumum Ink.
