A Life Undone (Band Demo)

Posted by Shekey in Audio, Lyrics

Alright, well we just recorded this song tonight. We played it at the Good Neighbor Festival, and it was amazing just to go nuts in a little bit of a different style. That’s what’s neat about this blog. You’ve heard the acoustic demo that I recorded just so I could remember the damn thing… and now you get to hear the rough mix of the completed song. Neato

You don’t know what it’s like,
to be the one.
you ask me how my day went
i say I didn’t have one

now I’m in love with a girl
and she don’t love me back
stop me if you’ve heard this one before

two hundred dollars
got me my own four door
it ain’t pretty, but at least
I don’t walk no more
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before

sit in the living room gun in hand
this here 45 is my ticket out of this land
but i called your hotline
they said call back at another time
stop me here if you’ve heard this one

you don’t know what it’s to be the one!
you ask me how my day went
I say I didn’t have one!
I’ve got money saved up,
if it’ll get me outta this town
You don’t know what it’s like to be the one

you don’t know what it’s like to be the one
where there once was mud, the earth is cracked and done
at least i’ve got my health
beside the aching in my heart
stop me if you’ve heard this one before

you don’t know what it’s to be the one!
you ask me how my day went
I say I didn’t have one!
I’ve got money saved up,
if it’ll get me outta this town
You don’t know what it’s like to be the one.
